Providing Health Support

Volunteers on a medical project work alongside qualified medical personnel to help provide medical care for local people in the local clinics located within the town of Livingstone.

We recommend already qualified Medical staff or those who are in a medical school for two years or more to register for this programme.

Volunteers are required to have proof of their relevant qualifications or recommendation letters from a medical school for this project.

Please note that volunteers work under supervision and help to provide basic patient care.

We recommend volunteers to bring along some scrubs, any colour especially plain ones like grey, blue, green, purple etc., to wear at the project and closed shoes. Kindly also bring some disposable gloves for your use.

Kindly note that you will also be required to pay $100 as an attachment fee to pay to the clinic as all volunteers at the clinics are required to do that. This fee will be added to the programme fees that you pay.

The following are   some of the departments  at the clinics: Pharmacy ,paediatrics, HIV/AIDS, Family planning, maternity , laboratory testing and registry etc.

Impacting Lives Through Healthcare

Join the Strengthen Community Health Project to help improve healthcare in Zambia’s local communities. Work alongside qualified medical professionals at clinics to provide essential health services, raise awareness on health issues, and assist in patient care.

Volunteer Tasks:

  • Assist in basic patient care and health check-ups
  • Support departments like Pharmacy, Paediatrics, HIV/AIDS, and Maternity
  • Participate in health awareness campaigns and community outreach
  • Help educate communities on hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention

Impact:

Your efforts will directly improve healthcare access, raise awareness on critical health issues, and support the well-being of vulnerable communities in Zambia.

Note:

Kindly note that clinics operate with nurses, clinical officers, and other staff most of the time, and doctors are on call. Volunteers should be ready to work wherever work is available at the medical placement they are assigned.
